The PROW restaurant Buffalo Mountain Lodge is a gem
The PROW restaurant at Buffalo Mountain Lodge in the Banff was a trip. Let’s talk about the ambience. Cozy with low comfy sofa’s, booths with multi patterned pillows, and the elephant in the room-well, a mounted bison head. A masterpiece chandelier made of deer antlers hangs from the pine ceilings. I felt in my element and decided demure was the vibe!

I usually fear well decorated restaurants lack in food quality. No Ma’am. I was pleasantly surprised at the food quality. Finger-licking good. I had a cedar plank grilled trout and my travel companion had a wild boar ribs - quite the delight. Let me give you the restaurant's description: wild boar ribs, warm potato salad, house made Canadian whisky bbq sauce, organic greens, poppyseed vinaigrette. No leftovers!

The restaurant’s specialty is local Canadian mountain cuisine. As I can attest, the meals have an element of fresh, curated cooked on site. I highly recommend this restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation as it is a fav with locals and travelers. If you have been, how was your experience?
